Online Individual Work

Longer-term work in life phases, at turning points, and in times of clarification

Some concerns are not clinical complaints, and yet they need space. A professional decision that won’t settle. A relationship in which something feels off. A transition that takes longer than one expected. A question of meaning that won’t go away.

Individual work is engagement with such themes over time. It offers a reliable space in which what is showing itself is taken seriously: not as a problem that has to be solved quickly, but as something that wants to be understood, felt, and moved.

It is not therapeutic treatment. When clinical complaints are in the foreground, psychotherapy is the more fitting frame. And it is not classical coaching with goal-setting and a methods catalogue.

You don’t have to know what your concern is. Many come precisely because something is still unclear. Part of the work can be to discover what the actual concern is in the first place.

What I don’t promise: quick fixes, dramatic breakthroughs, miracles.

What I can offer: a protected space in which what is here gets taken seriously, and time for the changes that can grow out of that organically.

What it looks like

We meet online via Zoom. A session lasts 50 minutes. How often we meet is something we decide together: weekly, every two weeks, or as needed.

How a process unfolds from your first message to a conscious closing is described under How a process unfolds.

What people come with

People come with work-related pressure, relational themes, questions of self-worth, search for meaning, recurring patterns, or transitions that take longer than they expected. Concerns from academic life also find space here: impostor experience, conflicts with supervisors, exhaustion, or the question of whether the chosen path still feels right.

How I work

My background brings together psychology, Gestalt therapy, behavioural therapy, body-oriented work, and experience with ritual contexts in Brazil and Peru. Which language we choose comes from your concern. Sometimes conversation is enough; sometimes body-oriented exercises help; sometimes something arises through the relationship with nature.

If, in the course of our work, psychotherapy or psychedelic integration would fit better, we’ll talk about it together.

Fees

The regular rate is around €100 per session. If that is financially difficult, we’ll talk about it and find a workable solution together.

My background

My background is in psychology, Gestalt therapy, and behavioural therapy. As a licensed Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie in Germany, I also offer psychotherapeutic treatment with a focus on Gestalt therapy alongside this accompaniment. I have been accompanying people in such processes since 2019. More about my path under Who am I?.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you work in a session?

My background brings together psychology, Gestalt therapy, behavioural therapy, body-oriented work, and experience with ritual contexts in Brazil and Peru. As a licensed Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie in Germany, I also offer psychotherapy with a focus on Gestalt therapy. Which language we choose depends on what you need.

I work primarily process-oriented: what is showing up is the material, and concrete steps emerge from there. Sometimes conversation is enough; sometimes body-oriented exercises, images, or imagination come into play. What fits clarifies itself in the doing.

How can I tell if this is right for me?

In the first conversation you have time to get to know me and ask questions. If you or I notice during the first half of the session that it isn’t a fit, the session is free.

Letting yourself be accompanied isn’t easy at the start. Feelings of inadequacy or shame are sometimes part of it. I went through this myself; in retrospect, I’m grateful I did it anyway.

How a process practically unfolds is described under How a process unfolds.

How can I tell which frame is right (individual work, psychotherapy, or integration)?

You don’t have to know in advance. Some come with a clear sense, others with a feeling or an open question. What is sensible and fitting we clarify together in a first conversation, and sometimes only along the way. When clinical complaints are in the foreground, psychotherapy is the better frame; when a psychedelic experience is at the centre, integration is.

Do I need to know exactly what my concern is?

No. Many people come precisely because something isn’t yet clear. Part of the work can be to find out what the real concern is in the first place. A short description of your situation is enough for a first conversation.

Can I come if I'm already in therapy?

In principle, accompaniment alongside therapy can be possible. What matters is keeping the roles distinct and not undermining an ongoing treatment. If anything is unclear, we work it out together, and if helpful, in coordination with your treating practitioners.

How often should sessions take place?

Often around two sessions per month is a good frame at the start. Depending on what you bring, more or less frequent meetings may make sense. For crises or work with traumatic experiences, a weekly interval is usually appropriate.

Experience shows that regular sessions carry more than a few intensive ones (though the latter is possible in individual cases). For special occasions, I also support longer processes spanning several days. Feel free to ask me about this.

What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?

I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you need to cancel an appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours before the session.

For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session or no-shows, the session will be charged in full. This policy is intended to respect the time and planning of everyone involved.

If you notify me in time (at least 24 hours in advance), we can reschedule the appointment at no additional cost.
